Stuffed Shells

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 white onion diced
  • 1 garlic glove chopped
  • 8 oz of shredded mozzarella
  • ½ cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 8 oz of tomato sauce
  • 1 jar of spaghetti sauce
  • 18 jumbo pasta shells
  • 1 egg beaten
  • ½ cup Italian bread crumbs
  • ¼ cup fresh parsley
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

  1. Boil pasta al dente.
  2. Brown ground beef, then add onion and garlic, let cool.
  3. Combine meat, mozzarella, bread crumbs, egg, parsley, salt, and pepper.
  4. Mix spaghetti sauce with tomato sauce, use ¼ of it to cover bottom of a casserole dish.
  5. Stuff cooked shells with the meat mixture and place in rows in the dish.
  6. Cover shells with sauce and sprinkle with parmesan.
  7. Bake for 23 mins at 400°.
