Pie Dough

Ingredients

  • 1 ¼ cups of flour
  • 6 TBSP butter
  • 2 TBSP Lard
  • ⅛ cups frozen apple juice concentrate
  • ½ tsp salt

Directions

  1. Cut the butter and lard into small pieces and stash them in the freezer.
  2. Mix flour and salt in food processor pulse four times.
  3. Add butter and pulse about 15 times, until uniformly lumpy.
  4. Add lard and pulse another 8 times.
  5. Combine ⅛ water with concentrate.
  6. With half of the apple juice spritz the flour, Pulse 3 times.
  7. Then wait about 30 secs and spritz and pulse 3 times again.
  8. Drop dough in a ziploc bag, mold into a disc and refrigerator for 30 mins.
