Ingredients
- 1 yellow onion
- 4 garlic gloves
- ¼ bunch of fresh basil
- 1 TBSP canola oil
- 28oz can of whole tomatoes
- 6 oz sun-dried tomatoes in olive oil
- ½ cup of merlot wine
- ½ tsp red pepper flakes
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
Directions
- Process onion, and garlic until fine.
- Heat oil up in a large pot on medium, and cook onion and garlic for 5 mins.
- Process tomatoes with juice, sun dried tomatoes, wine and pepper flakes till desired consistency.
- Add tomato mixture to pot and simmer for 20 mins.
- Sprinkle finely chopped basil in, along with salt and pepper.
