Pan Pizza

Ingredients

Dough

  • 1 cup beer
  • 2½ cups bread flour
  • 1 package dry active yeast
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 2 tsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt

Sauce

  • 24oz marinara sauce
  • 2 tsp oregano
  • 1 tsp red chili flakes
  • 1 tsp garlic powder

Toppings

  • 8oz pepperoni
  • 8oz monterey jack
  • 4oz mozzarella

Directions

  1. Add the beer, yeast and sugar in a mixer bowl and rest for 10 mins.
  2. Add the rest of the doug ingredients and mix with a dough hook until dough like.
  3. Grease a 9x13″ pan with olive oil and with oily fingers stretch the dough roughly towards the edges.
  4. Let dough sit for 1 hour and 15 mins.
  5. Simmer all sauce ingredients for 15 mins on medium low.
  6. Slice the pepperoni.
  7. Cut cheese into small cubes.
  8. Push dough up the walls of the pan about a ½″.
  9. Add most of the ingredients on dough then place cheese on top.
  10. Spread sauce over the cheese and some left over ingredients on top of the sauce.
  11. Heat at 500° for 15 mins.
  12. Cool for 5 mins and cut on a cutting board.
